Plant Vault is an Android app made by Pikeworks, a sole trader in Northern Ireland. By installing it you agree to these terms. If you do not, please uninstall it.
The app is free. You may use it for your own garden, at home or at work, on any device you own. You may not sell it, take it apart to pass off as your own, or use it to break the law.
Plant Vault AI is an optional subscription bought through Google Play. The price and any free trial are shown in the app before you buy, by Google. It renews until you cancel it, which you do in Google Play. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the part you have paid for runs to the end of its period. Refunds are handled by Google under their policy. You must be 18 or over to use it.
There is a fair use allowance of 300 AI messages a month, which is well above ordinary use. If you reach it, the app says when it resets, and everything else keeps working.
Plant Vault, including its care guide, its problem finder and its AI, gives general gardening suggestions. It can be wrong. Plants, soil and weather vary, and a photo can be misread. Do not rely on it to decide whether a plant, fruit or fungus is safe to eat or touch, whether a plant is poisonous to a child or an animal, or how to use a chemical. Check the label, and ask a professional where it matters. Pikeworks is not responsible for what a plant does next.
Your records are yours. They live on your phone, and in your own Google Sheet if you link one. Keep your own copy: Settings has an export. Pikeworks holds no copy and so cannot restore anything for you.
The app is provided as it is. The parts that need the internet (the AI, the weather and a linked sheet) depend on services run by other people, and can stop working or change. Everything else is meant to work offline and keep working even if Plant Vault is no longer updated.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected. Beyond that, and to the extent the law allows, Pikeworks is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost data, lost plants or lost profit, and any liability is limited to what you have paid for Plant Vault AI in the twelve months before the claim.
You can stop using Plant Vault at any time by uninstalling it. We can stop offering the app or the subscription, in which case any subscription is cancelled and Google refunds anything paid for a period not yet used.
These terms are governed by the law of Northern Ireland, and its courts have jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere in the United Kingdom or in the EU, you keep the protections of your own local law.
