The short version: the game is free, your save lives on your phone, and in-game money isn't real money.

The agreement

Compute Capitalist is a game made by me, Edward Morrison, trading as Pikeworks, a sole trader in Northern Ireland. By installing it you agree to these terms. If you don't, please uninstall it.

What you get

The game is free to play. You can play it on any device you own. You can't sell it, take it apart to pass off as your own, or use it to break the law.

Adverts and purchases

Any advert in the game is one you choose to watch for a boost. Nothing interrupts play. You may be able to buy in-game items, such as gold, through Google Play or the App Store. In-game gold and cash have no real-world value and can't be swapped back for money.

Your save

Your progress is saved on your device. Settings has Export Save Code so you can move it to another device. I don't run a game server and hold no copy, so I can't restore a lost save.

Availability and liability

The game is provided as it is, and runs offline. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, and your statutory rights as a consumer aren't affected. Beyond that, and as far as the law allows, Pikeworks isn't liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost data or lost progress, and any liability is limited to what you've paid for in-game purchases in the twelve months before the claim.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of Northern Ireland, and its courts have jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere in the United Kingdom or in the EU, you keep the protections of your own local law.
