Delete your account

A Pikeworks account is the optional sign-in for the Vault apps, and friends and cloud backups live on it. Deleting it happens straight away, in every Vault app and on every phone, and it can't be undone. Your entries on your phones aren't touched.

From the app

In any Vault app, open Settings, then Pikeworks account, then Delete account, and confirm. If you signed in a while ago, it asks you to sign in again first.

On the web

Without installing anything: go to api.pikeworks.co.uk/account/delete, type the email address on your account, and enter the code it sends you. If you only ever signed in with Apple and have no email address on the account, sign in with Apple in any Vault app on any phone and delete it from Settings.

What is deleted

Everything the account holds: your email address, the Google or Apple sign-ins linked to it (Apple is told to end the link), your password, your passkeys, the list of phones signed in, and the security log. And everything friends holds about you: your handle, display name, friends, requests and blocks, your posts, comments and reactions, your notices and table numbers, your photos, and your place in any Fish Vault group session, with any fish waiting to or from you. And every app's cloud backup: the copy of your log and its photos that each Vault app keeps with the account while you're signed in, Fish Vault's sealed backup included.

Reports other people made about you are closed and their copies deleted, apart from anything held because it may put a child at risk. Reports you made stay open, with your account taken off them. Your handle is freed 30 days later. If friends was switched off for your account for good, that bar is kept, so the same sign-in can't come back to friends.

It's all gone from the service at once, and from its backups within 30 days.

If you've lost your phone

Install any Vault app on another phone, sign in the same way you did before, and delete the account from Settings. Or use the web form above with your email address. If neither works, email hello@pikeworks.co.uk from the address on the account, and I'll delete it.

An old Vault Social account

Before the Pikeworks account, friends in the Vault apps ran on Vault Social, with an account made from a handle and no email address. Nothing on it was moved to a Pikeworks account. It was switched off on 10 October 2026, so the apps can no longer reach it.

Every account on it, and everything they held, was deleted on 19 October 2026, the copies in its backups included. You don't need to do anything. If you have a question about an old account, email hello@pikeworks.co.uk.
