Terms of use
Last updated 4 October 2026 (version 2.0.0).
The short version: marking every country you've been to, and logging your recent and upcoming flights, is free. Travel Vault Pro is one payment, never a subscription. There are no adverts, and your travels live on your phone.
The agreement
Travel Vault is an app made by Pikeworks, a sole trader in Northern Ireland. By installing it you agree to these terms. If you don't, please uninstall it.
What's free
Marking every country and territory you've been to, lived in or want to visit, whatever the date, with its passport stamp; the continents; flights from the last three months and any flight still to come; backup, restore and spreadsheet export. Backup and export are free for everyone, always: your records are yours to take wherever you like.
Travel Vault Pro
Pro is a one-off purchase through Google Play or the App Store. It adds cities and places of your own, fog of war, flights older than three months, bringing in your history (Google Maps Timeline, GPX tracks, photo locations and other apps' flight exports), the whole Passport with any single year, posters and map looks. It isn't a subscription and doesn't renew. The store takes the payment and its own terms apply to it; refunds are the store's to give, and your rights as a consumer are unaffected. A purchase is restored on another phone signed in to the same store account, with Restore a purchase.
Nothing you've already added is ever hidden or taken away. If you stop having Pro on a phone (a refund, say, or a new phone before you restore), everything you logged stays and still counts; only adding more of the Pro parts waits for Pro.
Places and maps
The country outlines come from Natural Earth, the cities from GeoNames, the airports from OurAirports, and the map from OpenStreetMap through OpenFreeMap. Borders and names follow those sources and aren't a statement by Pikeworks about any dispute. You choose what counts as a country in Settings. A place missing from the list can be added on the map as one of your own.
Fog of war and your location
Fog clearing only runs when you turn it on, and you can turn it off at any time. Its accuracy depends on your phone's location, which can be wrong; squares it clears by mistake can be put back with the eraser. Keep your eyes on where you're going, not on the app.
Flights
Distances and times in the air are worked out from the airports, not taken from the airline, so they're close rather than exact. A scanned boarding pass is read on your phone, and its date is worked out from what the pass carries; check it before you save.
Your travels
Everything you add is kept on your phone. Settings has Save a backup, Restore a backup and Export as spreadsheets, and all three are free.
Partner links
On a country you want to go to, the app may show a link to a partner's eSIM, marked as a partner link. Buying from a partner is between you and them, under their terms; Pikeworks may earn a commission at no cost to you. You can turn partner links off in Settings.
Availability and liability
The app is provided as it is. The map's tiles come from OpenFreeMap, which can be slow or unavailable, and the countries map carries on working without it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, and your statutory rights as a consumer aren't affected. Beyond that, and as far as the law allows, Pikeworks isn't liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost data or lost records, and any liability is limited to what you've paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of Northern Ireland, and its courts have jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere in the United Kingdom or in the EU, you keep the protections of your own local law.
