Common questions

Where is my log kept?

On your phone. There's no account to make and nothing is uploaded, unless you turn friends on, and then only what you switch on for a given check-in.

Will I lose everything if I change phone?

Not if you back it up first. Settings, Back up everything, writes a file. Copy it across and use Restore from a backup. Purchases come back separately with Restore purchases.

Can I bring my history over from Untappd?

Yes, and it's free. Ask Untappd for your data export, then use Settings, Import Untappd export (CSV). Your own records go out the same way, with Export as CSV.

How do I add a friend?

Turn on Vault Social in Settings and pick a handle. Then either send them your invite link, or open their Friends tab and scan My code. There's no directory and no search, so nobody can find you unless you hand them the link or the code.

I've got a new phone and my friends are gone.

Your account moves with a Link code from the old phone, under Link this phone. If the old phone is gone for good, use Get my account back with the six word recovery phrase the app showed you when you turned social on. Backups deliberately don't carry the device key, so a restored phone has to link or recover rather than silently taking over the account.

Somebody is being a nuisance.

Block and Report sit on every post, comment, friend and friend request. Reports come straight to me. The community rules say what isn't allowed.

Can I delete everything?

Uninstalling the app removes your log, because all of it is on the phone. If you turned friends on, the account is separate: delete it in Settings under Your account, Delete the account, or from the delete page without installing anything. That removes your handle, posts, comments and friendships for good.
